Amy Smart, an American model, actress and actor. She was born in California USA, Amy Smart began her modeling career there. In 1996 she debuted as an actress in the TV film Her Costly Affair. It was a long road to get her into Starship Troopers in a smaller part. The transition was difficult for Amy since she needed transition from modelling to acting. Models aren't thought of as great actors and so tend to be given smaller roles that aren't very important. Amy persevered. She worked her way up to greater roles, starting with The 70s series and Varsity Blues film. After a few years Amy stepped to more prominent roles. The film she starred in was the romance film Just Friends alongside Ryan Reynolds. It was a huge commercial success, and Amy had finally found the success she'd been seeking for more than 10 years. She then went on to work in many of the greatest movies, including the Crank series with Jason Statham as well as Shameless, where she played a recognizable character.
