Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the daughter of Peter Silk, an academic as well as Ilkay Silk, who is an actor, director, producer, playwright, teacher, as well as Director of Drama in St. Thomas University. Her father comes from Britain as does her mother, who is the "Turkish Cypriot-English expat." Anna's first memories involve attending rehearsals for plays and watching her mother's work.
