Miss Columbus 1985 and won the crown, kissing the crown and defeating every competitor. As a result of her win she was able to take part in the Miss Georgia pageant in June 1985. On the same day, June 22, 1985, she won the tournament. Mohr was selected to represent Georgia as well as the state of Georgia, at Miss America 1986's pageant, held in Atlantic City New Jersey. In spite of her success Mohr did not finish within the Top 10 for the title of Miss America national.
